A leading financial institution is seeking a Public Affairs Manager for a 12-month period to support its Commercial and Institutional business. The role involves engaging with political stakeholders and advising on public policy impacts affecting the bank. The ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder engagement skills and a deep understanding of the UK legislative process. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence policy and work closely with high-profile internal and external stakeholders.
Join us as a Public Affairs Manager
You’ll be using your expert knowledge of the UK political environment to liaise with and advise senior stakeholders of any potential impacts on the bank. Supporting the C&I business, you'll be identifying and working with ministers, MPs, government officials and business stakeholders to help communicate the bank's strategy. You’ll also be using your own contact networks to provide intelligence for internal purposes.
Working closely with the rest of Corporate Affairs, you’ll be leveraging activity and ensuring a consistent approach to risk management and external engagement.

We're looking for someone with a strong history of stakeholder engagement and a well-developed understanding of the UK legislative process, political process and public policy formation. You’ll be engaging with high profile stakeholders, so you’ll need the ability to network and influence effectively. Experience of working in a public policy environment, including government, in-house, agency or a political environment is desirable.
