Are you a Psychology student or graduate looking for meaningful, flexible, and rewarding work with young people in Bristol? This is the perfect opportunity to gain paid experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Mental Health difficulties - ideal for anyone considering a future career in psychology, education, social work, or therapy. We are currently recruiting for temporary, short-term, and long-term positions from January 2026.
You’ll be working in local secondary and SEN schools as a Teaching Assistant, supporting young people aged 11‑16 in and out of the classroom. You’ll help pupils with their learning, emotional wellbeing, and confidence - making a genuine difference every day.
School hours are 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday. You can choose to work 2‑5 days per week – completely flexible to fit around your studies or other commitments.
Daily rates range from £90 to £120 per day (PAYE) for 6.5 hours of work.
We offer a free, in‑person 3‑hour training course to introduce you to classroom life and prepare you for your first day. You’ll also get access to over 2,500 CPD courses, webinars, and resources through the National College – completely free!
