Not only do they struggle with coping with their emotions and mental health needs, they still need to get through the school day and ensure that they are meeting their goals. This is where your role as Mental Health Assistant comes in!
You will support them with all their needs in the classroom and model healthy ways for them to cope with their emotions. While you will be supporting the children, you will have the support of the class teacher yourself!
Those who have a degree in psychology or criminology will greatly benefit from this role and the experience it offers. Those with similar degrees are also encouraged to apply.
