Job title: PSV Technician

Location: Downhill Road, Bracknell, RG12 1QS

Hours: 4 on 4 off shift, 14.00 – 01.00

Reporting to: Engineering Manager.

We are seeking self‑motivated individuals with a passion for the fast‑paced and dynamic bus industry. If this sounds like you, come join us at Thames Valley. We are looking for PSV / HGV Technicians to join our Engineering team.

PSV Technician Duties:

  • Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining our buses.
  • Investigating and diagnosing mechanical and electronic faults.
  • Recording faults and the work performed to fix them using a tablet.
  • Following safety instructions and reporting any issues.

PSV Technician Skills:

  • Work a shift pattern of four days on and four days off.
  • Possess at least an NVQ Level 2 qualification in the maintenance and repair of public service vehicles or heavy goods vehicles (or an equivalent international qualification) or have at least five years' experience in repairing and maintaining public service or heavy goods vehicles, which you will need to provide evidence for.
  • Provide evidence of your qualification from the awarding body. If you don’t have an NVQ, you’ll need to pass the IRTEC Service Maintenance Technician exam during your six‑month probation.
  • While not essential, having a PCV licence would be a great advantage.
