Job summary

A major transport company in the Manchester area is looking to recruit a skilled PSV Technician on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for general service, maintenance, and repair of public service vehicles. Candidates must possess a full UK Driving licence and ideally hold NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance. This position offers competitive pay and a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Possession of a full UK Driving licence is required.
• Holding a Commercial Licence would be an advantage, driver training can be provided.
• NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform general service, maintenance and repair of public service vehicles.
• Manage the day-to-day pressures of a vehicle workshop.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and MOT preparation.

Skills

Possession of a full UK Driving license

Holding a Commercial Licence

NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance

Experience as a Bus Mechanic / PSV Technician

Education

NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualifications

Job Title : PSV Technician

Pay : £18 P / H

Overtime : 21.50 P / H

Weekend pay : £23 P / H

Hours : Monday to Friday

Shift : 6am to 2pm OR 7am to 3pm

Location : Oldham

Responsibilities

• General service, maintenance and repair of public service vehicles
• Cope with the day-to-day pressures that a normal vehicle workshop brings
• Vehicle inspections
• MOT preparation / Presentation
• Correction of running defects

PSV Technician Skills Required

• Possession of a full UK Driving licence is required
• Holding a Commercial Licence would be an advantage, however driver training can be provided
• NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
• Bus Mechanic / PSV Technician
