Job description

Project Quantity Surveyor job vacancy to work as a Cost Consultant or Senior Cost Consultant based in Central London on building, facades, and sustainability projects.

As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for your own projects, both pre and post contract.

The employer's projects mainly include high-value office, retail, and commercial buildings, with specialisms in facades, BIM, and cost management of tall buildings.

Responsibilities and Duties

Working independently on projects, supervising Junior QS / Cost Management staff, and reporting to an Associate or Partner for contentious issues or higher-level sign-offs. Duties include:

  • Preparing Cost Plans & Cost Estimates
  • Preparing tender enquiry documents
  • Checking Bills of Quantity
  • Undertaking and supervising take-offs
  • Feasibility reports
  • Valuations
  • Cost/Value reconciliations
Skills and Experience
  • Experience with Cost Plans & Cost Estimates
  • Experience preparing tender enquiry documents
  • Ability to check Bills of Quantity
  • Supervisory experience with take-offs

  • Contractor liaison management

Qualifications
  • A Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management is advantageous.
  • MRICS is desired; employer offers support towards MRICS via an APC program.
