About Us: Join our dynamic team in the Consumer Finance sector, where we strive to enhance the customer and colleague experience for credit card and loan products across all channels. We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Project/Programme Manager to join our Credit Cards Lab in Chester/Manchester. At our organisation, we understand that our customers seek seamless service and easy access to the finance they need. With a range of high street brands and MBNA, our Credit Cards teams work diligently to design and manage products that cater to diverse customer needs.

Role Overview

As an Project/Programme Manager, you will play a crucial role in coordinating dependencies between our Lab and various stakeholders, including other labs, platforms, Group Executive Functions, and third parties. Your efforts will support complex and high-risk implementations, covering both business and technology changes.

Responsibilities
  • Catalogues and supports the management of dependencies between the lab and other teams.
  • Collaborate with delivery partners outside of the lab to ensure interlock to enable the lab to deliver at pace.
  • Identify blockers to delivery and where possible mitigates / resolves, raising to integrators, product owner(s) where required.
  • Supports interaction between 3rd party suppliers and key business partners.
  • Supports complex and high-risk implementations requiring integration between multiple parties (internal/external) to ensure safe delivery.
  • Coordinate the integration process and / or implementation events across shared infrastructure; lead on the Service Introduction process, coordinating parties to deliver the change.

  • Agile Methodology & Tools: Plays a key role in an agile team and uses agile methods and tools in the flow of work to achieve results. Adopts work quickly when changes happen and role models agile ways of working.
  • Stakeholder Management: Builds positive business partner relationships to support own and team\'s work. Independently manages business partner expectations with regular updates of work and potential risks/ issues.
  • Planning, Tracking, Reporting & Governance: Applies a strong knowledge of delivery methodologies and product roadmaps and uses this to identify risks/ issues dependencies that may jeopardise agreed deliveries. Independently prepares and analyses management reports and mitigation plans.
  • You will inspire others by building rapport and gaining commitment through strong personal identity and embracing diverse viewpoints.
  • You will demonstrate a growth learning mindset and be open to new experiences to intentionally grow your individual and team skills.
