A not-for-profit innovation group in Bristol is seeking a Project Manager to support the UK’s innovation in the Space domain. Overview

NCC Bristol based with Hybrid working (minimum 2 days per week in office).

Salary: £46,355 to £58,038 per annum plus 12.5% employer pension, private medical insurance & very flexible employer.

Summary

Great opportunity for someone looking to support the UKs innovation within the Space domain! We’re looking for someone who can take accountability for the delivery of a range of small to medium sized projects which will help advance this quickly growing industry with companies across the UK.

We’re in a unique position as a not-for-profit innovation group central to the organisation of a range of Space initiatives.

You’ll work with Space agencies across the South West of the UK, supporting and enabling clients to innovate and push their boundaries. You’ll also take a focus on event organisation and European Space Agency fund bidding processes.

Responsibilities
  • Specifically, you\'ll focus on the following activities;
  • Supporting the organisation of Space West forum.
  • Supporting funding applications to ESA.
  • Responsible for supporting the successful execution of projects through any or all the phases of a project lifecycle: initiation, requirements capture, planning, execution and closure.
  • Maintain up to date project plans covering all live and pipeline projects.
  • Produce regular project reporting and management information.
  • Ensure all project management processes are followed including: effective risk identification and mitigation, change control, maintenance of documentation logs, updating project reporting and creation and management of project plans.
  • Support weekly and monthly project review meetings to ensure all elements of project delivery are achieved.
  • Ensure all members of the project team have clear visibility of project booking codes and are accurately reflecting all the hours worked on the project.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to NCC quality, health and safety processes and actively promote a positive H&S culture within the team.
  • Ensure all project plans are correctly resourced so that capacity planning can be conducted.
What we\'re looking for

In terms of experience we will look for in your CV:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager
  • Experience of working within, and a passion for the Space domain!
  • Experience supporting bid management activities for funding, ideally specifically the European Space Agency (ESA), but appreciate being that specific is a lot to ask!
  • Well rounded project management experience covering the core project activities.
  • Good stakeholder management & networking skills
