  • Ensure the compliance plan addresses all aspects of the new regulations.

Overview

Project Manager – Heat Network Compliance

Part-Time (3 Days per week Week) <br>South West – Hybrid<br>6 Months Initially<br>Rate: Up to £457 per day (Inside IR35)

This council are preparing to become an OFGEM-regulated heat supplier under the new Consumer Protection Regulations, rolling out from April 2025. With 3,000 properties across 23 communal heating schemes, they’re seeking a Project Lead to help shape and deliver a detailed compliance plan by late 2025—ensuring full regulatory alignment by April 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a high-impact energy transition project within the public sector.

Your Role as Project Manager:
  • Maintain a progress tracker and risk log, managing deadlines and escalating risks
  • Act as lead point of contact for external consultants and internal teams
  • Direct the work of a Business Analyst supporting the project
  • Prepare agendas, take minutes, and track actions for project/programme boards
  • Ensure the compliance plan addresses all aspects of the new regulations and adapts to changes
  • Identify overlaps with HNTAS and Heat Network Zoning Regulations where relevant
