You will be the lead for a variety of projects, with a focus on regulatory projects including Operational Resilience and regulatory compliance across PEXA, Optima and Smoove. You will interact with internal and external stakeholders treated as our customers, delivering changes that delight and amaze the customer experience.

You will work on a diverse range of projects, from quick small changes to long, complex implementations.

You will align to the UK Change Framework, using tested project methodologies and artefacts to plan, manage and inform progress, ensuring risk is mitigated and regulatory requirements are met.

You will build and maintain strong stakeholder and network relationships, both internally and externally, with regular updates and reporting to these groups and management.

As a start-up in the UK, change is ongoing and challenging, so a flexible and pragmatic approach is critical to support our strategic direction and customer-centric focus.

Key Accountabilities
  • Project Planning and Execution including timelines and budgets.
  • Deliver all elements of a plan on time and to a high standard, ensuring objectives and outcomes are met.
  • Set, own, monitor and measure critical success measures to realise benefits and celebrate success.
  • Risk Assessment and Management: identify potential disruptions, develop mitigation plans, and track performance.
  • Compliance: ensure the business meets regulatory requirements related to Operational Resilience, including FCA guidelines.
  • Collaboration: work with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain policies, frameworks and action plans.
  • Reporting: provide regular status reports to management.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: gather and analyse risk assessments, incident reports, and performance metrics.
  • Documentation: develop and maintain documentation, including policies, frameworks, procedures and risk assessments.
  • Business Impact Analysis: support the development and maintenance of BIA reports.
  • Contingency Planning: support the development and maintenance of business disruption contingency plans.
  • Training and Support: provide training, support, day-to-day management and embedding of regulatory compliance across the PEXA business and relevant subsidiaries to align with best practices.
Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Experience implementing and owning Operational Resilience within a financial services and technology environment, including business continuity and risk management.
  • Understanding of Operational Resilience and important business services (IBS), including process mapping as required.
  • Experience dealing with Regulators and representing a business, specifically the FCA.
  • Technical expertise to translate requirements into actionable plans.
  • Proven project management experience using agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Ability to demonstrate adherence to project standards and frameworks.
  • Track record of managing multiple projects and complex deliveries.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to develop effective relationships.
  • Highly organised with a proactive, creative and positive attitude.
  • Strong time management and a collaborative team approach.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable

  • Experience of the UK mortgage process with a lender or conveyancer.
  • Understanding of UK mortgage regulation and compliance.
  • Experience working with external customers and outsourced providers.
  • Conversational understanding of data management and AWS.
