Project Manager

c. £62,500 plus up to 6% bonus, overtime and company car

Peterborough, Hatton (Lincolnshire), Huntingdon, Cambridge, or Chelmsford

This role involves travel across the East region, including your base site and others, around 3 days a week. Some overnight stays may be required.

About the role

As a Project Manager in our delivery team, you’ll lead the delivery of infrastructure projects across electrical and instrumentation disciplines. You’ll manage the full project lifecycle - from design and procurement to construction, commissioning, and handover - ensuring alignment with business goals, budgets, and safety standards.

What you’ll be doing
  • Delivering complex construction and utilities projects from start to finish.
  • Managing project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance throughout.
  • Acting as the key link between Operations and delivery teams.
  • Collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Administering NEC3/4 contracts and ensure commercial performance.
  • Supporting commissioning and ensure assets are operational and compliant.
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting on project progress, risk, and financial performance.
  • Promoting safety leadership and continuous improvement.
About you

You’ll be a confident and proactive project manager with experience in the construction and/or engineering industry. You’ll work well under pressure, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively across teams. You'll be hands on, detail focussed and know how to bring people together. You’ll also know how to plan resources, manage time, identify issues before they become problems, be commercially aware, safety-focused, and driven to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Key requirements & experience
  • Minimum HNC (or equivalent) in electrical or instrumentation engineering or project management discipline, with significant relevant experience.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Strong engineering and asset management background.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of CDM Regulations.
  • Experience with NEC3/4 contracts and commercial management.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Relevant professional certification in project management i.e. APM, PRINCE2, PMP.
  • Experience with control or telemetry systems - desirable.
  • Experience managing infrastructure projects - desirable.
  • IOSH Managing Safely qualification - desirable.
  • Full UK car driving licence.
Security clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
