Within our Capital Design and Delivery department, we are looking for a Project Manager to join the Water EICA team.

Working within a delivery team, the Project Manager will be accountable for delivering EICA (Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation) projects focused on improving the assets across the Severn Trent estate. The role involves responsibility for the delivery, commissioning, and handover of projects.

The Project Manager will be required to:

  • Lead the delivery of multiple EICA projects across different sites simultaneously.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress to the Lead Project Manager and key internal stakeholders.
  • Manage project finances, monitor spend against budgets, and update forecast plans.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations on projects.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and quality checks.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders for commissioning and testing, including witness testing for clients where required.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to agree on solutions, designs, and changes, and coordinate site activities on operational sites.
  • Manage contracts and administration activities, acting as Project Manager on behalf of the client.
  • Support the wider EICA investment programme, overseeing smaller projects and coordinating team activities.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

The ideal candidate will have experience in EICA projects within the utilities sector or similar, and some familiarity with contracts is preferred but not essential. The role requires managing contracts and negotiations effectively. We value character traits such as positivity and a caring attitude, alongside skills and experience.
