The purpose of this role is to ensure that the complex and large-scale delivery of buried heat network infrastructure in Bristol is managed in a safe, structured, and efficient way, while also building the next generation of project managers within Vattenfall Heat UK. The Project Manager Associate - Heat provides essential support to Senior Project Managers and the wider project team in the planning, governance, and execution of civil and mechanical engineering works. These projects are fundamental to the creation of Bristol's low-carbon district heating system, which will decarbonise heat supply for communities and businesses across the city. This role exists at the intersection of project administration and project leadership, providing practical project support as well as actively developing project management skills to prepare the post-holder for a future role as a fully accountable Project Manager. The post-holder will play a visible part in ensuring projects are delivered to time, cost, quality, and safety standards, while gaining the technical, commercial, and stakeholder experience required to progress their career within the Vattenfall project management model.
