Project Manager - Civil Engineering
Location: Central Belt, Scotland
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 DOE + Benefits

The Opportunity:

A long-established and highly regarded civil engineering contractor with a strong and growing project pipeline is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a business known for delivering complex civil engineering projects across Scotland to a high standard.

Due to continued growth and a strong forward order book, they are looking to appoint a Project Manager who can take ownership of projects from pre-construction through to final handover.

The company also welcomes applications from experienced Site Managers with relevant project experience who are ready to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, sub-contractors, and internal teams to maintain effective communication
  • Monitor and manage health & safety on site in line with company and industry standards
  • Lead site teams and manage resources to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Handle project documentation including programs, RAMS, reports, and progress updates
  • Drive quality standards and ensure compliance with contractual requirements
  • Support with procurement of materials and subcontractors
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in a Project Manager or Senior Site Manager role within civil engineering
  • Strong technical knowledge of groundworks, infrastructure, drainage, and general civils
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold card preferred), and First Aid certifications
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites across the Central Belt of Scotland
  • Ambition, professionalism, and a strong commitment to safety and quality
