Overview
Project Manager - Refurbishment - Newry. We are currently partnering with an established tier 1 Fit-Out/Refurbishment contractor who are urgently seeking a Project Manager/Senior Project Manager to deliver a technically challenging fast-track project in Northern Ireland. This role will be Site Based 5 days a week and is offered on a contract basis to August 2026.
Responsibilities
- Project Leadership & Delivery - Take full ownership of a fast-track, technically challenging refurbishment scheme, driving the programme from pre-construction through handover, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Site Management & Supervision - Oversee daily site operations, coordinating and directing site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, while maintaining productivity and resolving on-site issues quickly to keep the project moving.
- Programme & Cost Control - Develop, monitor, and update detailed project programmes; track progress against key milestones; implement recovery strategies where necessary; and manage budgets, variations, and cost reporting to protect commercial performance.
- Stakeholder & Client Management - Act as the primary point of contact for the client, consultants, and external stakeholders, providing regular updates, managing expectations, chairing progress meetings, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Health, Safety & Compliance - Ensure strict adherence to company procedures, statutory requirements, and industry best practices; foster a strong safety-first culture on site; and lead by example in promoting safe working practices.
- Quality Assurance & Handover - Implement and monitor robust quality management processes, manage inspections and snagging, and deliver a seamless handover process that meets the standards of a tier 1 contractor working in occupied environments.
Requirements
- Must have 20+ years' experience in construction and driving large projects
- Must have 10+ years' experience in fit out/refurb
- Must have excellent communication skills (Both written and Oral)
- Must be based within Northern Ireland
Benefits
- £375-£400 per day depending on experience
