Job Title: Project Manager

Salary: GBP75,000 – 85,000 per annum (plus package / benefits)

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager with a solid civil engineering background to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting and complex rail–based infrastructure projects, including rail depots, building works, and associated civils. You'll be part of a forward–thinking organisation that delivers quality, safety, and innovation across all stages of project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage rail and infrastructure projects from initiation through to handover, ensuring delivery to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including subcontractors and consultants, while managing site–based activities and project resources.
- Liaise effectively with the supply chain, stakeholders, and Tier 1 contractors to ensure seamless integration of all project elements.
- Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and health, safety, quality, and environmental (SQE) standards.
- Prepare and manage documentation including Work Package Plans (WPPs), Task Briefing Sheets (TBS), and implement safe systems of work.
- Monitor risk, drive mitigation strategies, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a high level of trust and professional collaboration.
Qualifications
- Experienced Project Manager with a strong track record in infrastructure and construction delivery.
- Previous experience working as a Project Manager on complex infrastructure or rail–based projects.
- Experience working with Tier 1 contractors on large–scale construction schemes.
- Direct experience working on rail environments, particularly rail depots, station buildings, or rail–adjacent construction.
- Ability to liaise with the supply chain, manage procurement and subcontractor coordination.
- Skilled in prioritising and delegating tasks in a dynamic, fast–paced project environment.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and manage relationships effectively.
- A natural problem solver who enjoys a challenging and demanding role.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to communicate complex information clearly and professionally.
- Demonstrates sound judgement and strong commercial and business awareness.
