A leading technology services provider in the United Kingdom is seeking a Project Manager to manage project plans and supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, excellent client-facing and people management skills, and a desire to work in a collaborative environment. You will spend 1 to 2 days per week on-site in Buckinghamshire, contributing to exciting projects in various industries.
Responsibilities Planning: Build and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with overall programme objectivesRAID Management: Identify, manage, and mitigate Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and DependenciesFinance Management: Monitor project budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery.Reporting: Provide regular status updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and issues.Quality Management: Ensure all deliverables meet the required quality standards. Qualifications Desirable Certifications: MAPM, Scrum Master, PMP, Prince2 Essential skills Strong understanding of the systems development lifecycle.The ability to understand and lead the construction of system & data integrationsExcellent client-facing skillsAbility to think logically and use own initiative as well as mine in-house and supplier IP to build on your knowledge base with regards to the industry and the project/programme.Able to apply project management disciplines such as stakeholder identification and management, supplier management, risk and issue logs, decision logsStrong understanding of Waterfall methodologies Strong understanding of Agile (Kanban & Scrum)Experience of working with Programme and Project managers in large deploymentsPeople management skills – the ability to lead and focus teams in complex projectsStrong self-management – continuous performance is both an objective and a mind-setDesire to continue to build IT domain knowledge– tools, applications, platforms Desire to embrace and work within new industries An analytical mindset to ensure details are not overlooked and that the critical path is managed throughout the projectStrong communication skills in English are essential for effectively interacting with clientsMicrosoft Project Experience Experience in data migration from legacy systems to new, including culling of non-essential data and consideration of parallel runs (test environment/production) and multi-wave implementation to production.Experience of leading large-scale projects with multiple sub-projects and inter-dependencies.Supplier Management – managing external suppliers to ensure that the scope of work is delivered within time, cost and quality constraints. Change Management in terms of processes and procedures, organisational change, training and documentation.Comfortable working within a hybrid Waterfall/Agile frameworkExperience within the automotive industry or energy industry is desirable but not essential What do I need before I apply You will be expected to be on-site with clients in Buckinghamshire 1 to 2 days per week or as the programme requires.
