Job summary

A regional main contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a £10m project near Ely. You will manage project delivery, ensuring quality builds with low defects, and must have a proven track record on projects over £5m. The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications and experience in Commercial, Industrial, Healthcare or Education sectors and a valid CSCS Card.

Company & Project: A privately owned and regional main contractor operating in Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Norfolk are seeking to recruit a talented Project Manager to work on a recent project win valued at c£10m near Ely.

The successful candidate will leading 1 large Commercial and Industrial mixed used project valued at c£10m.

The business works across multiple sectors including: Commercial, Industrial, Healthcare or Education sectors on a regional basis and are looking to grow their Construction Delivery team due to recent project wins.

The business is recognised for its employee focus and long-term stable history, with many of the senior management and employees working for the business for many years.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful Project Manager will be fully site based leading the project delivery with a visiting Contracts Manager. Working in conjunction with the Site Managers, responsible for health & safety, short term programming/progress monitoring and delivering a quality build with low defects.

The business is looking for a Project Manager who has previously lead a New Buil project over £5m in single value as a Number 1 on site for the full duration of the project.

Desirable Experience

• Previously held a Project Manager position with a Main Contractor delivering projects over £5m in single value as a Number 1 Project Manager on site for the full duration of the project.
• Exceptional track record for delivering sites on time and to a high standard of finish.
• Experience working across one of the following sectors: Commercial, Industrial, Healthcare or Education.
• Previous Roles: Assistant Project Manager OR Construction Manager OR Project Manager OR Assistant Contracts Manager.

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Construction Management, NVQ Level 6 or NEBOSH or comparable qualification.
• Valid CSCS Card Essential
