Our client is a well-established and highly respected civil engineering contractor, delivering complex infrastructure and specialist civils packages nationwide.
Due to their involvement in the Derby Flood Wall / Flood Defence Scheme, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to take full control of their package of works and support the successful delivery of this critical infrastructure project.
This role will be instrumental in pushing the project forward on programme, managing teams and sub-contractors, liaising with key stakeholders and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and commercial control are maintained at all times.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end management of the scope of works on the Derby Flood Wall scheme.
You will act as the key point of contact on the ground, managing the site team, sub-contractors and liaising with the client, main contractor and local stakeholders.
This is a hands-on, site-focused role requiring strong leadership, technical understanding of civil engineering works and excellent planning and coordination ability.
Project Manager / Site Agent / Contracts Manager experience within civil engineering.
Experience delivering civil engineering, highways, infrastructure or heavy civils projects.
Strong technical knowledge of:
SMSTS (essential)
CSCS Black or Gold (essential/preferred)
Temporary Works Coordinator / Supervisor (advantageous)
Strong planning and organisational skills
Experience working to NEC4 or similar contracts
Excellent leadership and communication ability
Full UK driving licence
Experience working in environmentally sensitive environments is highly desirable.
