Job Role - Project, FRA and social values supervisor.
Main Duties
- Be the social values ambassador who will find worthy charities for MITIE to support and work with as part of our charity committee.
Section 1 — Social Values and Charity Coordination

Key Responsibilities
- Be the main ambassador for our charity community on the Welsh Government contract in our region.
- Arrange Charity events with the local charities in the area.
- Liaise with charities that have been engaged with.
- Act as a point of contact for key events between the host and the operational team.
- Manage and resolve any feedback issues, relating to the service provided by the operational team.
- Ensure the operational team remain up to date with all relevant information and any last-minute changes.
- Ensure that all company documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
Section 2 — FRA Remedial Works

Key Responsibilities
- Rectifying Hazards: Addressing any fire hazards or safety concerns identified during the FRA, which could include issues with fire doors, fire stopping, compartmentation, or other passive fire protection measures.
- Ensuring Compliance: Bringing the building's fire safety systems up to the standards required by current fire safety regulations and guidelines.
- Improving Passive Fire Protection: Implementing or upgrading measures that are designed to contain and slow the spread of fire and smoke, such as fire-resistant walls, doors and seals.
- Enhancing Fire Safety Systems: Carrying out works on other fire safety components, such as emergency lighting, fire signage and ensuring proper means of escape.

Examples of FRA Remedial Works
- Fire Doors: Installing, upgrading, or replacing fire doors and their associated components, like intumescent strips and closers.
- Fire Stopping and Compartmentation: Implementing or correcting fire stopping where elements pass through fire-resisting elements to maintain the integrity of compartment walls.
- Fire Signage: Ensuring that correct and compliant fire safety signage is in place throughout the building.
- Means of Escape: Addressing issues related to the means of escape, ensuring clear and safe routes for occupants to evacuate.
Section 3 — Project Supervision

Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop project plans, schedule activities and implement them to ensure projects are completed on time and to the required specifications.
- Team Leadership: Organise, direct and motivate the project team, ensuring tasks are delegated and completed efficiently and effectively.
- Resource Management: Oversee the allocation and efficient use of all project resources, including personnel, materials and equipment.
- Risk and Issue Management: Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation plans and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the project's lifecycle.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Serve as a primary point of contact, coordinating efforts, providing regular updates to management and liaising with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and control project progress, ensuring that deliverables meet quality standards and customer expectations.
- Performance Monitoring: Track project performance against key metrics, provide feedback to team members and report on progress to project managers or senior management.
- Compliance and Budget Adherence: Ensure that all project activities comply with company policies and procedures and consistently monitor project costs to stay within the allocated budget.
