Project Estimator - Structural Steel

Location: Edinburgh (WFH or Office Based)
Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on experience

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Estimator to join a well-established structural steel business. This is a full-time role with the flexibility to be office-based or fully remote, depending on your preference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates by analysing drawings, 3D models, and project specifications.

• Manage allocated tenders from enquiry through to submission.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders.

• Assess project risks and opportunities.

• Attend pre-tender meetings to clarify project scopes.

• Provide detailed handovers to project managers for awarded contracts.

Requirements:

• 3+ years' proven estimating experience in structural steelwork and access metalwork.

• Strong knowledge of steel materials, fabrication, and erection methods.

• Ability to interpret UK standards and client specifications.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong numerical and analytical skills.

• Cladding knowledge and CNC cut/drill understanding advantageous but not essential.
