The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineer with a focus on production scheduling and expediting. You will play a key role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of projects by supporting the production team and maintaining momentum across all stages of execution. This position is ideal for someone with strong planning skills and a practical understanding of fabrication workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Track progress, monitor key milestones, and expedite tasks to ensure production targets are met.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers to eliminate delays and manage interdependencies.
  • Provide engineering support to resolve technical issues that may impact production timelines.
  • Ensure all works are delivered in line with safety, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, progress updates, and reporting for internal and client stakeholders.
About You
  • Degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience in project engineering, steel fabrication, mining, or defence-related industries.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, production planning, and expediting processes.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is essential.
