Are you a talented Electrical Engineer with a passion for safety and innovative design? My client, a leading specialist in earthing and lightning protection, is seeking a motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring worker and public safety across a variety of power transmission and construction projects. Working closely with Senior Engineers, you'll contribute to the development of cutting-edge designs, undertake site testing, and support junior team members in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop earthing and (ideally) lightning protection designs for diverse projects.
  • Collaborate with experienced lead and senior engineers.
  • Stay informed about national, international, and client-specific standards.
  • Conduct EMF and AC interference studies for new and existing power transmission projects.
  • Perform Impressed Voltage studies to advise on safe construction practices near HV equipment.
  • Create detailed 2D CAD drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Undertake site testing, including soil resistivity and earth impedance measurements.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in HV electricity networks, particularly in earthing systems, is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential; familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Open to receiving training in this specialist area.
