We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Construction Site Manager with a strong civil engineering background to oversee and coordinate site operations at Torness. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of civil works, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence across all phases of the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day site activities, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Lead civil construction operations including earthworks, concrete structures, drainage, and access roads
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient execution
  • Monitor progress against project milestones and report to senior project leadership
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality control and regulatory compliance
  • Resolve site issues and implement corrective actions swiftly
  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, risk assessments, and progress reports
  • Liaise with client representatives, local authorities, and stakeholders as required
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience managing civil construction projects, ideally within energy or infrastructure sectors
  • Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations and site safety protocols
  • SMSTS or equivalent site management certification
  • CSCS card (Black or White)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
