Job description
Overview

Candour Talent are recruiting a Programme Manager for their client based in Newport. Employment Type: Permanent/Full Time. Working Hours: Monday to Friday. Salary: NEG DOE.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Programme Manager (PM) to be the main point of contact for the customer, overseeing all operational and financial aspects of assigned customer accounts, including costs, pricing, profitability, working capital, and customer service. You will work closely with the Programmes team and other departments to maximise business opportunities with the client, building relationships and promoting growth. The client is particularly interested to hear from candidates with experience in aerospace manufacturing and certification, and in trade compliance sales (export control).

The Role
  • Lead a customer-focused team ensuring exceptional customer service to drive both growth opportunities.
  • Utilise account management tools, CRM systems, and ERP systems.
  • Establish and maintain meaningful and long-term customer relationships.
  • Support with the maintenance of healthy gross margin and operating profit, prioritising financial stability and growth.
  • Ensure all systems are kept up to date.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial forecasting for revenue, order intake, and order book, supporting informed decision-making and strategic planning efforts.
  • Take ownership of collecting invoice payments within agreed-upon terms to maintain a healthy cash flow.
  • Promptly address excess and obsolete material claims.
  • Resolve customer pricing discrepancies promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain and execute customer contracts diligently, mitigating risks and fostering trust and stability.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers - ensuring customer satisfaction, resolving issues, and managing escalations effectively.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure operational excellence and to ensure organisational KPIs are met.
  • Conduct regular customer meetings.
  • Utilise standardized tools and processes to provide regular reports to the management team.
  • Contribute to monthly SIOP meetings and the annual strategic/budget planning process.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Proven track record in project management, demonstrating direct or indirect leadership of cross-functional teams.
  • Related qualifications and familiarity with relevant tools are advantageous.
  • Previous experience in an electronics manufacturing operations environment, with knowledge of operational methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with SIOP and MRP processes and systems.
  • IT proficiency with expertise in ERP and CRM systems.
  • Additional preferred experience:
    • Aerospace manufacturing and certification
    • Trade compliance sales (export control)
