Job summary

A leading water utility company in the UK is seeking a Programme Controller to support governance and performance of their capital portfolio. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and help drive data-led decision-making through high-quality reporting and analytics. Ideal candidates will have project environment experience, be confident in Excel and Power BI, and possess a collaborative attitude. The SDO plays a key role in ensuring our capital programmes are delivered efficiently, sustainably, and with our customers at the heart of every decision.We’reaiming to deliver £1bn in savings while building infrastructurethat’sfit for the future – and we need your help to get there.

What’sinvolved?

You’llbe supporting the governance and performance of our capital portfolio, helping to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.You’llwork closely with teams across Design, Delivery, and Commercial, providing insight, challenge, and support.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Driving data-led decision-making through high-quality reporting and analytics
  • Ensuring data accuracy and building confidence in our programme insights
  • Presenting key insights to senior leaders and governance boards
  • Proactively managing risks andidentifyingopportunities
  • Supporting programme resilience and continuous improvement
Whatwe’relooking for:
  • Experience in a programme or project environment, with a good understanding of project controls (financials, risk, benefits, etc.)
  • Confidence using Excel and Power BI (Primavera P6 or MSP is a bonus)
  • A collaborative, can-doattitudeand a passion for making a difference
  • Location:You’llbe based at one of our key sites –Finham(Coventry), Shelton (Shrewsbury), or Raynesway (Derby) – with flexibility to work across locations as needed.
