Overview

Pay rate: $19.00/hr
Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm
Location: Northampton, MA
Duration: 3 months

Responsibilities
  • Work Safely
  • The operator will oversee and manage production of product from raw materials through to final quality control
  • The operator will produce a variety of rod types based on production schedule set forth by production coordinator
  • Requires efficiently balancing mixing, extrusion, drying, cutting, and firing steps to maximize overall production and meet customer order requirements
  • Entails tracking and management of key materials and consumables to ensure uninterrupted and quality production
  • Works with process engineering and management to troubleshoot quality or production issues
  • Responsible for completing department production and quality data
  • Responsible for the start-up, shut-down, and cleanouts of all production equipment in assigned area
  • Make adjustments to processing parameters to achieve desired final specifications
  • Store raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods in their proper locations
  • Operate a forklift to move pallets of raw materials, totes filled with powder, etc
  • Will need to operate equipment at elevated heights occasionally (ladders/platforms)
  • Pack finished goods to be shipped as needed
  • Load/unload trucks as needed
  • Maintain work areas and equipment
Qualifications

  • Standing, reaching, bending, pushing etc.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted
  • Fork lift experience preferred
