Production Technician

Cinderford – Temporary ongoing, could lead to permanent. Investment in FLT and other machinery licences.

Overview

£14ph to £18ph during initial training. Salary ranges from £27,500 to £39,000 after training and shift rotation.

Responsibilities
  • Operate FLT/VNA and sling/winch equipment in a heavy plant environment.
  • Follow a set production process and understand the whole plant process.
  • Lead health and safety and quality in all tasks.
  • Work in small teams; teamwork and good communication skills are a must.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing/production environment, running a range of machinery.
  • Hold a FLT Counterbalance licence (desirable).
  • Health and safety mindset.
  • Desirable: VNA licence, telescopic truck, sling or lifting qualifications.
Shift patterns
  • Initial training: 8am-4pm shift for first 2-3 weeks.
  • Week 1: 6am-2pm. Week 2: 2pm-10pm. Week 3: 10pm-6am.
  • Full three shift pattern (Monday to Friday) after completion of training.
Salary and benefits
  • Salary: £27,500 to £39,000 after training.
  • Annual bonus up to £2,000 per year.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Full uniform provided; laundry service for work-wear.
