Job summary

A leading global company in agricultural chemical technology is seeking a Production Support Officer to manage the administration of the production supply chain at their Grangemouth site. This role involves recording business activities, dispatching materials, and ensuring timely updates to commercial systems. Candidates should have an HNC/A Level or similar, alongside 2 years of administrative experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. This is a 12-month contract position with a Monday–Friday working schedule.

Job description

NES Fircroft are currently recruiting a Production Support Officer for our client, a leading global name in the agricultural chemical technology industry. The position will be based at the Grangemouth site. This is available as an initial 12‑month contract with possibility for long‑term extension, Monday–Friday working pattern, 36hrs per week.

Overview

To manage all administration activities, supporting the production supply chain by receipting raw materials, initiating and tracking deliveries and collections, dispatching product in line with business expectations and updating commercial systems in a timely manner to ensure that financial accounts and business visibility are accurate and up to date.

Responsibilities
  • Record and update business and associated systems in a timely manner, to give accurate visibility of purchases, plans, customer promises and financials.
  • Dispatching of intermediate materials.
  • Document control, checking and archiving.
  • Provide cover to ensure an effective Production Support Service is always maintained, including waste management activities.
  • Raise purchase orders for packaged chemicals, bulk chemicals, and empty packaging in line with manufacturing requirements.
  • Purchase pre‑printed product labels, maintaining sufficient stock to ensure compliant dispatch of active ingredient.
  • Create and print relevant site waste and CLP labels.
  • Maintain schedule of deliveries in line with production requirements, communicating to relevant stakeholders.
  • Stock checking and reconciliation of packaged and bulk materials.
  • Resolution of blocked invoices.
  • Support site waste administrative activities as required.
Qualifications
  • HNC/A Level or similar as appropriate.
  • 2 years' administrative experience.
  • Manufacturing environment experience.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Communication, team working and interpersonal skills.
  • SAP experience (preferred but not essential).
