Production Supervisor

Salary: £34,500 + benefits

Shift: Pitman Shifts (Days and Nights)

The Role

As Production Supervisor, you'll be responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day production activities, ensuring output, quality, and food safety standards are consistently met. You'll lead from the front, motivating your team and driving continuous improvement across the shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of production operatives on shift
• Ensure production targets, KPIs, and deadlines are achieved
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality (HACCP, BRC, GMP)
• Monitor and improve productivity, waste, and downtime
• Carry out shift handovers, reporting, and performance reviews
• Support training, onboarding, and development of team members
• Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Management teams

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor / Team Leader within food manufacturing
• Strong understanding of food safety, quality standards, and hygiene regulations
• Confident people manager with a hands‑on leadership style
• Able to work under pressure in a high-volume production environment
• Good communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills
