The Production Shift Team Leader, reporting directly to the Production Manager will be a key member of the Operations team ensuring that day to day production runs smoothly.

This role is ideal for someone with similar shift/supervisory experience or for someone looking to take the next step in their progression.

With responsibility for 15 direct reports the team leader will effectively lead and develop the production team members to drive operational excellence within all areas and to deliver high quality products in a complaint, safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • Lead by example in a positive, proactive, and supportive manner, communicating with others with a can-do attitude working as part of the management team and problem solving to ensure targets and business objectives are met whilst gaining job satisfaction
  • Be a functional expert understanding and complete training on all aspects of the Manufacturing, Packing and Cleaning roles
  • Accountability for productivity, cost, safety and quality on shifts, and present results in the operational tier meetings
  • Manage the allocation of team resource effectively at the start and throughout shifts and review performance throughout to identify and areas that need addressing
  • Help develop the business further with continual improvement (6S tools) and lead change through the production teams
  • Perform People Manager activities as required for your team including, Return to work interviews, performance reviews, investigations, holiday and absence management.
  • Coach, train and develop your team
  • Engage with your team and ensure that the company purpose vision, values and behaviours are embedded
  • Ensure that GMP, H&S and other standard procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Act as the back-up key holder and open / close the factory in the absence of a member of the Maintenance team
What We Are Looking For
  • Previous proven experience in a similar supervisory/ leadership role
  • Experience in a similar FMCG production environment
  • Positive, can-do attitude and self-motivated
  • Strong communication skills and able to communicate effectively to different levels of stakeholders throughout the business
  • Good IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Office 365, inc. Excel.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Understanding of tablet and capsule manufacturing and packing processes – Desirable
