Job description

Join our Manufacturing team in Felling as a Production Scheduler, where you'll play a key role in ensuring daily production schedules are created and updated to minimise cost, maximise efficiency, and maintain high customer service levels. You'll coordinate with multiple departments to ensure smooth execution of production plans and maintain accurate stock levels across the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and optimise weekly production schedules for Manufacturing and Filling.
  • Monitor order fulfilment and anticipate disruptions, providing practical solutions.
  • Communicate daily with the Production Planner and site teams to ensure schedules are delivered on time and in full.
  • Support new product introductions and coordinate trial batches with R&D.
  • Manage batch-card issuance and raw material staging.
  • Coordinate rework of SLOBS with Technical and Production teams.
  • Report on adherence to plan, service levels, and production performance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ALPS projects.
  • Liaise with Planning (Barcelona) to improve efficiency and service performance.
  • Ensure filling lines are fully loaded during peak times and optimise product mix.
  • Monitor and report production targets vs actuals, analysing gaps.
  • Maintain scheduling system data and SAP accuracy.
  • Participate in daily MDI and weekly handshake meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE and PSRA standards.
  • Maintain production-related master data in SAP.
Qualifications
  • GCSE (or equivalent) education.
  • Experience in a production or planning environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and inventory management.
  • Excellent IT, numeracy, time management, and communication skills.
  • Teamworking and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
Desirable
  • Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Mathematics.
  • SAP experience.
  • Knowledge of paint manufacturing processes and supply management.

Salary: £25,087.00 rising to £25,684.00 at 9 months in role, plus uncapped commission
Hourly rate: £12.82 per hour rising to £13.12 per hour at 9 months in role
