Production Planner Transport Planner

The Company: Our client has grown to be one of the UK’s largest suppliers of building and construction steel reinforcement solutions for the forming, fixing, connecting and reinforcing of concrete into the Construction & Civil’s industry. This growth has seen the company turnover increase and their ability to service clients far beyond their expectations. With continued support for training with a guarantee that personal development will be encouraged and promoted our client is now looking to succession plan for their operations in the Newcastle area.

Responsibilities
  • Play a fundamental role in the company’s business strategy with a focus on Production Planning and Scheduling, and Transport Planning.
  • Operate across the whole Production/Manufacturing & Transport operation, with key focus on Production Planning and Scheduling and Transport Planning.
  • Contribute to planning for the two main departments: Production and Transportation (Logistics).
Qualifications
  • Suitable applicants must have a good understanding of Production and Manufacture, as a Production Planner or Transport Planner.
  • Working knowledge of Production Planning / Production Control and/or Transport Planning, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience within Engineered Product Manufacturing, Building Product Manufacture, Production Engineering, Heavy Manufacture, Metals, Heavy-side Product Manufacture, Production Management or a Technical/Engineering Business. Applicants from other sectors will be considered if they can bring relevant experience and demonstrate interest in the production/manufacturing sector and seek a challenging new role.
  • Demonstrable high levels of drive.
