Ideal candidates will have experience in production planning, a strong analytical mindset, and familiarity with aerospace standards. This role focuses on weekdays with no shifts or weekends.

Qualifications

  • Solid experience in production planning or material planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities needed.
  • In-depth knowledge of production processes and supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing standards like AS9100 is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.

Overview

Production Planner - Aerospace Manufacturing

Are you a detail-driven Production Planner with a passion for aerospace manufacturing? We're looking for someone to join our team in Farnborough, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring production runs smoothly, efficiently, and on time.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain production schedules that align with customer demand, inventory levels, and available resources.
  • Using Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), manage production orders, work orders, and material requisitions, while monitoring capacity and deadlines.
  • Inventory management: track raw materials, coordinate stock movements, and use MRP tools to ensure timely procurement.
  • Generate reports and analyse KPIs like on-time delivery, production efficiency, and inventory turnover to help forecast future needs and optimise planning.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and quality teams to ensure materials meet specifications, and liaise between the production floor and management to communicate progress, delays, and constraints.
  • Contribute to lean manufacturing initiatives as part of a continuous improvement culture, identifying ways to reduce waste and improve resource utilisation.
