Product Planner – County Tyrone – £35,000

The Job

A leading food manufacturing organisation is seeking a Production Planner to join its team based at the Dungannon site. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating and optimising production schedules to ensure efficient use of materials, labour, and equipment while maintaining high standards of product quality and customer satisfaction. This position reports to the Supply Chain Director and may involve occasional work at other sites or departments within the wider group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage daily and weekly production schedules to meet output targets and customer deadlines
  • Liaise with growers and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of fresh ingredients and materials
  • Coordinate production activities in line with resource availability, including labour, machinery, and materials.
  • Monitor progress against schedules and adjust plans as necessary to maintain operational efficiency
  • Prepare and present regular performance and production status reports
  • Schedule New Product Development (NPD) trials and sample runs within weekly plans
  • Conduct horizon scanning and provide relevant reports to support planning and forecasting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and support process improvements
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks as requested by management
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and core values outlined in the employee handbook
The Candidate
  • Previous experience in production scheduling, planning, or a similar role within a manufacturing or food production environment
  • Ability to interpret data and prepare reports to support decision-making
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising across departments and with external partners
  • Experience working directly with suppliers or growers
  • Understanding of supply chain processes within the food manufacturing industry
