Job description
Night‑shift Process Operator

Premier Recruitment Group has the privilege to recruit on behalf of our very prestigious client based in Dartford, Kent. This is a full‑time 6‑month contract position with a view of going permanent for the right candidate, working for a very well‑established international company.

When safe, you will be recruited to work on the Night shift from 10pm to 6am, Sunday to Thursday, with a salary of £32,500 per year.

Responsibilities
  • Manufacturing and dispensing functions for dry and wet production
  • Adherence with manufacturing schedules
  • Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policy; contribution to Business Excellence/Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Carry out any specific tasks as requested by Plant Shift Supervisor, Deputy and Manager
  • Manufacture and dispense batches for dry and wet dispersions, including regular lifting of 25kg boxes
  • Accurate completion of Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and other associated documentation
  • Day‑to‑day interaction with Quality Control and other departments where appropriate
  • Contribute to housekeeping and general upkeep of plant
  • Ensure any “At Risk” orders or issues related to production are brought to the attention of Plant Shift Supervisor or Deputy
  • Support initiatives related to Continuous Improvement
  • Take reasonable care for health and safety, considering others and the environment
  • Report all EHS/QA incidents for investigation and corrective action
  • Suggest ways to improve EHS/QA performance
  • Carry out additional duties as requested by the Manager, Supervisor or Deputy of your department — duties may be in other departments within Operations
Qualifications
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Computer literate in Excel and Word
  • Experience of continuous improvement initiatives and automated systems is desirable
  • Motivated, flexible, initiative‑driven team player with a positive attitude
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills; a numeracy, literacy and ability test will be conducted at interview
  • Experience is not required; a good attitude is the key
