About the role

Our Norwich, NY location is part of our Applied Health and Nutrition Division and one of our specialty sites that creates proteins, lactose, coatings, and flavors. The location lies within Chenango County and is advantageously located within a 50-mile radius of the major cities of Binghamton, Syracuse, Utica, Cooperstown and Oneonta.

$1000 Sign on Bonus; pays after 90 days

SHIFT: Mon- Fri 6:15am-2:45pm occasional weekends and shift flexibility is required

Key Responsibilities

• Operate dry blenders and packaging operations
• Operate coatings equipment
• Operate meat tenderizer line operations
• Operate Lubritose
• Hold a forklift truck license and operate equipment at all times safely and efficiently
• Responsible for batch makeup, finished product production and packaging
• Complete warehousing procedures for raw materials, finished products and piece packages
• Safely move packages up to 1200# with equipment provided
• Manually move/dump up to 55# packages at a rate of 1500# per hour
• Proficient with the use of a calculator
• Use the computer to complete data entry in Excel, Word, and use computer-controlled equipment
• Proficient in the SAP system and train others in its use
• Handle hazardous waste (internal training provided) if required
• Responsible for staging material

Qualifications and Skills

• Write clearly and legibly
• Read and understand written instructions from the department supervisor or group leader
• Strict adherence to company policies while using common sense in daily decisions
• Adjust work schedule to department requirements
• Overtime may be required to complete batch or batching sequence
• Working knowledge of computer systems (IBM, Windows, Excel, Word, e‑mail) or willingness to be trained within probationary period
• HSD/GED preferred
• 2–3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

Compensation & Benefits
