A leading recruitment agency is seeking Production Operatives for a client in the Oldham Area. Responsibilities include ensuring quality standards in production, building units to specifications, and maintaining production paperwork. Candidates should have experience in busy production environments and knowledge of Lean tools. The role offers an hourly wage of £12.21 and standard working hours from Monday to Thursday, 7 am to 4 pm, and Friday, 7 am to 12 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Production team to ensure sales orders meet quality standards.
  • Build and configure units to customer specifications with accuracy.
  • Maintain production paperwork, including inspections and stock issues.

Thrive Oldham are recruiting Production Operatives in the Oldham Area on behalf of our well established client

Essential Requirements
  • Experience of working in a busy production warehouse/environment
  • Experience with a quality check of electrical items
  • Experience of working/ utilising Lean tools i.e. 5S, Kaizen advantage.
  • Confident and flexible nature in dealing with issues that arise.
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Good concentration with a good eye for details
  • PC Literate, experience of utilising Microsoft Office packages.
Job Description

Proactively work with the Production team on ensuring sales orders are completed to the correct quality standard check on cash handling equipment in line with company lead times without affecting costs.

Accurately building and configuring units to customer specifications, while performing manual and electronic reliability and accuracy testing, in readiness for packing/ labelling for dispatch and delivery.

Support in maintaining and updating all production related paperwork, including but not limited to:

Stock issues

first off inspection reports

  • Follow by example the companies Health & Safety policies, reporting any potentially dangerous issues/faults to your direct Team Lead or Production Manager. Including not limited to:
    • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment

During busy and high holiday periods, support other areas within operations.

Key challenges

Working with Sales on achieving customer satisfaction by the way of delivering a quality product on time and within cost.

Targets

In line with the production balance score card, contribute to maintain the KPI's for the following areas:

  • On Time Delivery
  • Quality and none conformances for production orders.
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Sales delivery performance

Immediate start after successful interview

Monday to Thursday 7am - 4pm

Friday 7am - 12pm
