Salary: £44,385.36

Working Hours: - Nights 2 - 4 week rolling rota 7pm-7am. Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday; Week 2 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday; Week 3 - Friday, Saturday, Sunday; Week 4 - Wednesday, Thursday

Role expectations

What will this role achieve?

Team Member roles work on continuous production lines in Process, Packing Hall or Mixing areas. Working as part of a team in the Packing Hall, Team Members are responsible for operating machinery, carrying out all quality checks and maintaining high quality production standards.

What will be your key deliverables?

  • Carry out all pre-start checks.

  • Carry out product quality evaluations throughout the shift.

  • Control and operate a variety of processes and equipment to the highest standards of safety and quality.

  • Understand equipment and machinery set up.

  • Be able to work in a cross-functional working environment.

  • Ensure changeovers are completed in area and adherence to the agreed procedure.

  • Ensure all documentation is filled in correctly and to the right standard.

  • Shift handovers are completed in area and to agreed agenda

  • Train peers and new operatives in equipment use and procedures when required.

  • Undertake basic problem diagnosis

  • Communicate directly with relevant persons to resolve any issues

  • Ensure the efficient operation of packing equipment whilst carrying out quality inspections and maintaining a safe working environment.

  • Maximise plant efficiency whilst minimising waste.

  • Ensure housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained to the highest of levels.

  • Working to the highest standards of GMP.

  • Supporting the business with the generation of any improvement Initiatives.

  • Good opportunities for progression

  • You will occasionally be hand packing and hand stacking boxes

  • Cleaning duties of varying descriptions

Essential

  • Have an understanding of good manufacturing practices and safety at work procedures.

  • Will demonstrate a willingness to work in a team environment and possess a positive attitude to change.

  • We’re looking for people who are open to working flexibly and feel comfortable adapting to a fast-moving environment—with support available to help you succeed.

Desirable

Ideally, you’ll have experience working with food and operating machinery in a quality-focused factory environment.

Ideally you would have previous experience handling food and operating equipment in a quality focused and performance driven factory environment, operating large-scale automated machinery within a packing department.
