Position: Production Operative
Location: Wincanton, Somerset
Hours: Monday–Friday, rotating shifts — 06:00‑14:00 / 14:00‑22:00
Rate: £12.75 per hour

gap personnel are recruiting for Production Operatives for a leading creamery in Wincanton, Somerset. The successful candidate will join a small team working together to ensure high standards of product quality, duties are varied and no day is the same.

Key Responsibilities

• Running and operating semi-automatic and automatic machinery (previous experience in food production machinery preferred).
• Supplying packaging and raw materials to the filling line.
• Moving and packing finished goods, including glass bottles, palletising, and assisting with order picking/dispatch.
• Recording quality checks and maintaining accurate production records.
• Carrying out cleaning duties to maintain hygiene and safety standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Reliable, hardworking, and punctual.
• Comfortable with physically demanding tasks and standing for long periods.
• Previous experience in food production or operating machinery is preferred, but training will be provided.
• Able to follow instructions, adhere to safety and hygiene rules, and maintain quality standards.
• Right to work in the UK.
