ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re hiring Food Production Operatives to join our growing team at Daylesford Organic Farm, to help us create award-winning organic products that our customers love and trust.

You’ll follow set recipes and procedures carefully, help prepare and handle fresh organic ingredients from our farm, and keep the kitchen clean, safe, and well-organised. The role is hands-on and requires great attention to detail, along with a passion for sustainable, high-quality food.

You’ll also support the team with stock rotation, labelling, packaging, and preparing orders for our Retail, Catering, and Wholesale customers. This is a great opportunity to grow your career in organic food production with a company that values ethical and environmentally friendly practices.

SALARY: £12.70 per hour

HOURS:

  • 45 hours per week
  • Mon - Sat working 9 hours per day
  • Shift patterns 05.00am till 14.30pm or 07.00am till 16.30pm
  • Working every third Saturday

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare all food to company standards, treating it with care and respect
  • Follow recipes and complete tasks within required timeframes
  • Ensure all ingredients are properly prepared, weighed, and measured
  • Maintain high hygiene and cleaning standards at all times
  • Follow organic production guidelines set by the Soil Association
  • Help uphold the quality and reputation of Daylesford Organic products
  • Separate and remove waste correctly during and after shifts
  • Work safely and efficiently to meet daily production targets
  • Minimise food waste through careful handling and preparation
  • Comply with all audit, safety, and quality protocols
  • Support the Production Manager with budget and efficiency goals
  • Communicate any changes, shortages, or issues promptly
  • Contribute to the company's B Corp and sustainability goals
  • Help inspire more conscious choices among customers and partners
