Overview

Our client is an expert packaging supplier who works predominantly within the FMCG sector with a holistic and innovative approach to packaging. They are a future thinking business based just outside of Grimsby and are seeking a skilled Production Operative who wants to be part of a team spearheading the future of the business.

The role
  • Operating and cleaning of production machinery.
  • Loading and operation of production machines and maintaining throughput.
  • Stacking, palletising and wrapping produced products.
  • Ensure product specifications and quality are achieved.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the production area and machinery.
  • Assist with general warehouse compliance tasks.
  • Inform Supervisor of faulty machinery or production issues.
  • Adhere to relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure that any computerised or automated systems are accurate and up to date.
  • Identify any systems improvements and make recommendations for change.
  • Report damaged or missing goods to the Warehouse Team Leader.
  • Follow workplace health and safety rules when handling goods.
  • Ensure efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules, and schedules.
  • As a HACCP Operator you will be responsible for maintaining product safety, quality, and legality through the requirements of the HACCP plan.
  • Follow orders from the Production Supervisor and Sales Office requests and work to deadlines.
  • Assist with general Warehouse operations and compliance tasks.
The candidate
  • Experience in loading production machinery with relevant components.
  • Experience in carrying out regular checks on product to ensure a high level of quality.
  • Experience in stacking, palletising and wrapping of produced product.
  • Experience in labelling pallets of product.
  • Experience in using SafetyCulture system to record data from product checks.
  • Experience in keeping the production / stores area clean and tidy.
  • Experience in completing documentation / paperwork.
  • Use of production equipment and machinery.
  • Experience in assisting Warehouse supervisor as required.
  • All other associated duties as required.
The benefits
  • Salary: £27,000
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays

  • Hours of work: Monday to Friday 1.00pm to 9.00pm (40 hours)
