Job description
Overview

Manpower is recruiting Production Operatives to work for our client, based in Edinburgh. You will work within the factory on the production line packing food products and also completing general production and warehousing duties.

Overtime after 8 hours

Due to the nature of this temporary work, shifts are planned on a weekly basis and full time hours cannot always be guaranteed.

Shifts
  • Dayshift - Monday to Friday - 06:30 - 14:30
  • Backshift - Monday to Thursday - 14:30-22:30
  • Nightshift - Sunday to Thursday - 22:30-06.30am
Responsibilities

As a Production Operative, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Checking products for quality on the production line and removing defective items
  • Keeping machines supplied with packaging materials and labels
  • May be some heavy lifting involved loading products onto pallets
The ideal candidate will have
  • Good observational skills to spot defective products
  • Patience to carry out repetitive tasks
  • The ability to work quickly to meet production targets
  • Good team working skills and the ability to work on your own
  • The ability to follow strict health and safety guidelines and quality procedures
Induction and application

All candidates must complete an online health and safety induction online before commencing work. Successful completion of induction includes a 2 hour payment for induction time, after completing 1 full shift.
