Overview

Have you ever looked around a machine shop as production manager and thought, this could run better with the right leadership? That is exactly where this business is, under new direction, they are growing, investing and raising standards. And they need a Production Manager just like you who can steady the ship on the shop floor while building the kind of structure that makes people and machines perform at their best. As Production Manager you will be the link between senior leadership and the people who make it all happen.

Responsibilities

Five Team Leaders will look to you for guidance, around 40 machinists will rely on you to keep things clear and consistent, because you understand the work, whether that is millers, lathes, CNC, sliding head or fixed head, you will have the credibility to back up your decisions with real knowledge, not just words.

You will not be bogged down with everything an Ops or Works Manager has to juggle, as production manager you know that this is about focus, leading, guiding and setting the tone day to day. You will create an environment where your Team Leaders can succeed, where production targets are realistic, and where people take pride in the components leaving the shop floor. Why does it matter? Because this is a business in transition get it right here and you will be part of a leadership team shaping the future, not just keeping up with the past.
