A leading rail service provider in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated individual for rolling stock maintenance. The role involves ensuring maintenance tasks are completed safely and timely while overseeing staff and resources. Applicants must possess relevant electrical/mechanical engineering qualifications, strong communication skills, and at least three years of experience in an engineering workshop. The holder of this post is responsible for ensuring that maintenance activities of the depot on fleet rolling stock are carried out safely, timely and to required standards, on a daily basis in order to meet service requirements.
Bournemouth Depot is home to a number of South Western Railway's fleet. The engineering team at the depot are currently responsible for numerous projects such as the major component overhaul work on the 159 fleet, the Desiro repaint on the class 444's and 450's and the latest modification project on our exciting new Arterio fleet that is set to transform travel on our suburban routes by offering customers much faster and more reliable journeys!
Working an average of 42 hours per week over 3.5 days
0600-1800 days and 1800-0600 nights rotating shifts
