The Role
As Production Manager, you'll oversee all day-to-day nursery production operations from planning schedules and managing raw materials to supervising staff and ensuring quality at every step.
You'll work closely with the owner and senior leadership team, driving efficiency, supporting major projects, and contributing to long-term production strategy.
Day-to-Day, You'll Be:
· Planning and managing daily, weekly, and seasonal production schedules
· Monitoring machinery, crop movement, and line performance
· Overseeing raw material supplies, crop protection inputs, and goods-in processes
· Collaborating with the CEO on forecasts and strategic planning
· Leading staff training, supervision, and onboarding
· Coordinating across teams on H&S, quality, and maintenance
· Contributing to new site development projects during off-peak
What You'll Need
· Experience in commercial horticulture, agriculture, or live goods production
· A track record of production planning and team management
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
· Technical understanding of health & safety, quality, and traceability systems
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· A hands-on, team-oriented approach
