Job Purpose

The Production Engineer is responsible for supporting and improving manufacturing operations to achieve optimal productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. The role focuses on process optimization, equipment performance, yield improvement, and cross‑functional coordination within HDD production lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support daily production operations to ensure output targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are met.
  • Analyze production issues, process deviations, and yield losses; implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Improve manufacturing processes through continuous improvement initiatives (e.g. cycle time reduction, defect reduction, productivity improvement).
  • Work closely with Maintenance, Quality, and Process teams to resolve equipment and process‑related issues.
  • Monitor key production metrics such as yield, downtime, scrap, and throughput; prepare reports and presentations.
  • Assist in new product introduction (NPI), process qualification, and engineering change implementation.
  • Develop and update work instructions, SOPs, and control plans.
  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) using structured problem‑solving tools.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, or related discipline).
  • 1–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; HDD or semiconductor industry experience is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment troubleshooting, and production workflows.
  • Familiar with continuous improvement tools (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S).
  • Able to analyze data and use MS Excel or similar tools for reporting.
  • Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Willing to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
