Overview

Role: Production Engineer - Wrexham

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 & bens

Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering support and technical leadership to production.
  • Problem solving on machine and process problems.
  • Work closely with maintenance and process engineers to optimise and improve performance.
Key Skills / Qualifications
  • Ideally educated to degree level in mechanical or chemical engineering.
  • Some post graduate experience as a production engineer, machine optimisation engineer, manufacturing engineer, maintenance engineer or continuous improvement engineer ideally in a web processing/web handling manufacturing environment (paper, tissue, fabric, foil, film, coating, plating, lamination) and knowledge of principles such as machine speeds, tensions and temperatures.
  • Experienced in machine based manufacturing processes, accustomed to diagnosing machine and process based issues, and able to work closely with maintenance to resolve equipment based problems.
  • IT and data literate and able to use engineering software to gather and analyse data (OEE, SPC).
  • Sound problem solving skills, root cause analysis, Pareto analysis techniques.
  • Able to effectively and successfully engage with internal stakeholders and external suppliers as required.
  • Great prioritisation skills, methodical, logical and well organised, able to adapt to changing circumstances, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player who enjoys working with others in a supportive and close-knit team.
