Role

As the Product Manager – Power Systems, you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities within the power systems market, focusing on areas such as gas to power, electrification, and energy storage. You will leverage James Fisher\'s synergies to pinpoint market gaps, assess the feasibility and attractiveness of these opportunities, and develop pathways to bring them to market through innovation or acquisition. This position is integral to achieving the company’s strategic goals, with a focus on geographic expansion, market penetration, and service differentiation through the integration of strategic technologies and digital tools.

Responsibilities
  • Lead initiatives aimed at expanding service offerings geographically, penetrating deeper into existing markets, and capturing new customers within the global power systems market. Develop and execute strategies that ensure sustained growth, aligning efforts with the company’s strategic priorities.
  • Oversee the operational setup for new initiatives, ensuring that all systems and processes are in place for successful execution. Collaborate with engineering, project management, and supply chain partners to integrate new initiatives seamlessly into the operational structure.
  • Spearhead the evolution of the service offering by integrating strategic technologies, digital tools, and supply chain partnerships. Focus on differentiating the company’s services by leveraging these innovations to meet evolving customer needs and market demands. Ensure that technology and digitalization are central to the growth strategy, aligning with the company’s long-term vision.
  • Align all growth and service evolution activities with the company’s five-year strategy, ensuring that initiatives support both immediate and long-term goals. Provide significant strategic influence at the executive level, contributing to the company’s long-term vision and success.
  • Support acquisitions from initial negotiation through to SPA (Sale and Purchase Agreement) and integration. Ensure seamless integration of acquired entities into the company's operational structure.
  • Travel to global locations as required to support business development and operational activities. Hold regular meetings with stakeholders to update them on the progress of initiatives and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • After establishing new initiatives and services, guide their integration into the standard operational structure, transitioning them to the relevant teams for ongoing management.
  • Act as the product champion – reviewing performance and supporting improvements following transition to business as usual.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience in strategic leadership with a demonstrated ability to lead growth initiatives.
  • Experience with market expansion, successfully expanding service offerings into new geographic regions and increasing market penetration.
  • Project management expertise, particularly in managing complex projects involving cross-functional teams and strategic partnerships.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders, including executive leadership, operational teams, and external partners.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and profit & loss management.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to clearly articulate strategic initiatives and influence decision-making.
  • Resilience and adaptability, with the ability to navigate and lead through change in a dynamic environment.
  • Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline or a related field.
