Overview

Product Design Teacher - Barnet. Temp to Perm, full-time role for Key Stages 3 - 4. October 2025 start. Well resourced and managed department, with strong Design Technology technician. Excellent Senior Leadership Team. Very capable students that need little behaviour management. Salary 36,918 - 56,959 per year. Fantastic school with great behaviour.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Product Design to Key Stage 3 - 4, with the offer of Key Stage 5 to be added to the timetable for a capable practitioner in the future.
  • Deliver GCSE to a high standard.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver all lessons independently and participate in extra-curricular activities.
  • Be prepared to fully immerse yourself in the school community.
  • Collaborate within the well-resourced Design Technology department, which is supported by a dedicated technician for each subject area.
Qualifications
  • Ideally an undergraduate degree in a related Product Design field.
  • Appropriate Product Design teacher training qualification.
  • Experience in teaching or interest in other Design Technology topics is advantageous.
  • Ability to teach through the Design Technology syllabus is desired.
